Web Administrator
The company is seeking a talented and professional individual to manage
cloud-based clustered Java web application architectures backed by mysql.
The infrastructure architect is responsible for designing, bechmarking and
monitoring production high availability clusters for Java-based web services
running in various cloud infrastructures (Amazon, Joyent, GoGrid, etc) as
well as managing software and infrastructure upgrade releases to a number of
web services running on each cluster.

Candidates need to have good experience problem solving and supporting
(through proactive monitoring) live web applications and web applications
databases. Strong communication skills are required.


We are seeking the following skills and experience:

€ Web & application server administration
o Experience with perlbal, nginx, lighttpd or other web servers and
managing Tomcat and/or Jetty
o Application monitoring, tuning and benchmarking (httperf, Jmeter, other
perf tools)
€ Unix administration, monitoring and management experience
€ Practical work experience with EC2 or other cloud environments
€ Software release planning & management
o interface with product management on release scheduling and execution
o configuration & dependency management using puppet, maven, capistrano
or other tools
o deployment rollback planning
€ mySQL configuration & administration
o replication
o backup and recovery planning

Responsibilities:

• Software architecture with responsibility for data management and DB architecture for entire site.

Requirements:

The Role
Cooliris is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Backend Analytics team. WeÕre looking for someone who loves solving challenging problems related to processing and analyzing massive quantities of data in distributed systems. We use and contribute to open source tools like Hadoop, Pig, and Hive. As the lead engineer of the Analytics team, you will be responsible for building out CoolirisÕ backend analytics platform, making architectural decisions and evaluating new technologies.
